Get Your Commercial Landscape Ready for Spring

Get your landscape ready for spring!

Now that spring has sprung it’s time to give your building a fresh makeover. Beautify your landscape, attract more customers, and increase your business! Here’s how.

Assess Your Landscape

Walk around the property and assess the entirety of the winter damage. Remove any loose limbs or large debris that have collected on the landscape. Check the walkways for any loose stones that may come unhinged during the freeze/thawing cycle, and assess the property for any other hazardous conditions that winter may have caused.

Check Irrigation Systems

Leaks and blockages are common problems that occur with your irrigation system during winter. After the last frost, check the irrigation system’s nozzles, sprinkler heads, valves, and controllers for leaks or other issues.

Repair/Replace Turf

For minor sod issues you can loosen the soil and spread some grass seed. If there are any areas that have been damaged by the winter ensure that you apply new sod. If you don’t replace your turd then weeds can take over the area.

Things start to grow again in the spring. Make the most of the warm climate with a proper fertilizer. Apply it to seedlings and established plants to encourage growth.

If you haven’t already, trim or prune any shrubs to keep their shape and beauty the landscape. Decorative walkway bushes need to be trimmed back from the concrete or stones so that your customers can walk with ease.
